Give a Sawbuck
Become a patron of artful resistance for a pittance—sponsor a writer or artist for $10.
Yes, of course, feel free to give more.
We launched our journal with an anonymous gift that allowed us to give a token honorarium of $10 for each piece of writing and artwork we published in our first year. We’ve continued to do so, thanks to contributions from our writers, readers, and editors. We know what a joy it is to receive even a token for our creations.
We’d love to continue the flow of pittances, so, if you like what you see in Writers Resist, please give a $10 donation (or more!) to sponsor one of our contributing writers or artists, or help cover our operating expenses, which include the website and our new submissions manager, the latter two being mundane but necessary.
Although ours is an all-volunteer collaboration, we are NOT a nonprofit, so your gift will not be tax deductible, but we hope you agree that the value of resistance—literary and artistic resistance—far surpasses that of a tax deduction on a sawbuck.
A note from K-B: In light of PayPal’s 2022 policy update for business accounts, restricting transaction types, I’ve had to change our Writers Resist account to a personal account, so you’ll see my name rather prominently displayed, rather than the publication’s. Please know that any donations to this account are used exclusively to pay writer and artist honoraria. Thanks for accommodating our rather grassrootsy finances!
